Personality
Cerunnos is easy to understand, because his thought processes are not very complicated, his drives are clear, and his methodology is largely unchanging. To put it simply, Cerunnos is devoted to one thing above all else, above his own needs and his own wants, even his life, and that is his family. Not being a creature of artiface, he often is considered both forthright and bold in actions. He has often been called brave for his willingness and ability to speak the truth regardless of the apparent consequences. Cerunnos is most often a man of his word, and will do all that he has promised to do, however the rules change in regards to those who are closest to him. The D'Abbadon family, being paramount to his view leaves even the human invention of law to his periphery; though he has never had to gamble with his family's honor in the past given his overall honesty.

Being a man of family, the Bloodfount is neutral in his own beliefs, most ofte taking on the roles of enforcer for his family, and mediator for outside conflicts. He prefers meditation and tranquility to the heat and savagery of war, and will only don his battle gear when one of his own has been slain. His neutrality extends into political spheres and verges on detachment from mainstream Abyssian society, because he chooses to not get involved in the politics that seem to run the metropolitan city.

Often described as wise, Cerunnos does not really view himself as such, choosing instead to believe that his overall ability to guide others in the right direction stems from his own experiences. He is an instructor and a guardian of the fledgelings in his family and within his guild, giving of his knowledge to the best of his ability. His generosity is not confined, though to the non-physical, because his renouned tireless work as a merchant has given him the structure to freely give mountainous wealth to those who both need and seek it.

Despite his many attempts to achieve stoicism and to detach himself from the majority of the city's politics, Cerunnos is an emotional being and is often lead by his animal instinct and by that which his heart tells him he should do. He is thus prone to make mistakes in matters that are very close to him, though a combination of uncanny good luck, and his abilities as a mediator often keep him out of trouble or conflict.

History
The Dreaming: Sometimes called "The Time Before", this is the time before all that existed. It is said that there was once a void, an expanse of nothing for which there can be no understanding. Even trying to quantify "nothing" does not suffice to show its true nature, because total lack of time, and space can, in no way, be shown on temporal terms. In the midst of the void formed a conciousness, a life that some claim existed all along, but was unable to form intelligence until it had properly evolved. Others say plainly that the One, the creator of all, was formed from the wishes of those who were to come and those who had come before. No matter the way in which it happened, the One birthed the Elder Gods from his dreams, and allowed for them to spread throughout his void home, filling it with energy, matter, and life.

Cern was created and given the task of helping to develop a world of many diverse forms of life, his role being tied into nature and all that which moved and breathed. It is said by ancients, that he sealed part of the Dreamer into the new world with the other Elder Gods to ensure that it would thrive and prosper beyond all other worlds.

The Fall:Ruling for many thousands of years with his fellow Elder Gods, Cern was often considered to be the most emotional, and yet loving. He was irrevocably tied to his Earth Mother, and to all that which grew upon her face. Being a diviner of that which is to come, he saw in a vision the destruction of all that he loved and cherished; the death of the very world itself, and the harrowing of the spirit that resided beyond the physical crust. The murder was to be dealt at the hands of humanity, and though he did not know what it was that mankind was to do in order to remove his most beloved, he quickly moved, seeking to wipe out all men before they could crush the Earth spirit.

As he was to put his plans into effect, the other Elder Gods saw that he wished to intervene in "The Natural Course" and so they bade him not to snuff out ts she lives of innocents, and to not go against the universal laws which they had set for themselves. Of course, Cern refused to listen to the other Elders and after much batte, he was forced into submission. Because he was so integral a part of nature, the Elders shed from him his godhood and forced him into the immortal form of a vampire such that he could not die, but could not survive without those he reviled against. The Elder Gods then flung him thousands of years into the future.

Cern, given the name Cerunnos D'Abbadon (Cerunnos being a derivation of his original name, and D'Abbadon, meaning "destruction") spent hundreds of years in the wild. He was almost an animal with his instinct and thought, not wanting to nor being able to cope with the loss of his godhood and the impending loss of the world he'd worked so hard to help create, he simply wandered, feeding as he went. Eventually, his travels brought him to the Abyss city and to a resolution within himself.

The Abyss: Soon after regaining full faculties, the vampire god found that since his godhead's mantle had been removed, that the many fae who had inhabited the land had fallen into another plane, that the many magical place had dried up and there were few wellsprings of power. The world had become more mundane and tied to technology. The technology he did not take to easily or well, though other advancements seemed to work well with his personality. Ever the astute, he determined that he was being tested, and so in hopes of once more earning his spot among the Elders, he worked to become a member of his community, thus taking his first sire, Raven Moon.

Breaking away from the reality bending abilities inherent to his godhood, the man began to grow as a vampire, learing from the wise arcanes within the Keltian Loche. A quick learner, the path to full Druidic knowledge soon made itself clear to him, and he was quickly an adept at his given class. It became abundantly clear that Raven Moon was not equipted to deal with the ever growing vampire, and so he severed from her, seeking a leader who could help him to continue develope.

It was not hard for Cerunnos to find Capadocious who had been his grandsire under Raven Moon, and after siring to the supposed conquerer, Cery began to build up his family. Being a loyal and kind soul, the D'Abbadon family grew quickly, which was much to the god-vampire's liking. However, only a short time after he'd sired under Capadocious, he was asked to join in on a war against Black Crusade. Having been given pretentious proof that family had been slain, Cerunnos undertook the long campaign, ensuring with the family's numbers that no member of the opposing clan (and associates) were able to efficiently kill Capadocians for quite some time into the war. When evidence was given that Cerunnos had been lied to, he pulled out of the war, and the Black Crusade was able to combat the Capadocians with no third party hinderance. The D'Abbadons were later retaliated against, but largely ignored the hits given their ventures into a more neutral standpoint.

After quite some time into the conflict, it became apparent that Capadocious had lied to Cerunnos, and that mixed with some sagely wisdom given by Damia Caos Destino, SpiritLioness, and Mista Mesias; he withdrew from the issue, allowing for Black Crusade to crush the remnants of the Capadocians. After a journey of meditation on what he would do with his family, Cerunnos merged one of the few active Places of Power with his own conciousness, bringing to life the Stronghold, wherein his family now resides.

Through time, the D'Abbadon family carved its niche as a peaceful family that focussed upon aspects of wealth, personal growth, knowledge, unity and wisdom. Cery eventually was given the honor of becoming one of the Guild Leaders for the Keltian Loche, and when he is not doing something to aid someone within the Loche, within his family, or in the community, he can most often be found either meditating or prowling about the perimeter of the Stronghold. And thus details the events preceding the time before his descent into the Underground.

Extras
    The Stronghold of Abbadon
The Stronghold of Abbadon lays nested deep within the Delandria Forest. The outer edges of the Stronghold blend in with its surroundings, seeming to be a part of the very jungle around it. Tall, densely packed trees obscure the sunlight with thick canopies to act as a curtain to the daylight hours. More inward, the trees slowly begin to shrink in size, becoming less and less packed. Soon, the trees dispersed to allow for flowing, huge gardens. The gardens are filled with every tree, flower, and plant imaginable, and the landscape is dotted with tiny ponds and lakes, which are interconnected with flowing creeks and rivers.

The entire scene is dimly lit with the glow of pixies and fairies which flutter about in the magical landscape. Animals roam freely around the grounds which are almost as much garden and forest as they are building. The Stronghold main building is easily mistaken on first glance for a grouping of trees, but it is a living fortress that moves and sways, pulses with the life of the earth. All through the building fresh flowers grow in vibrant colors and all who are of the D'Abbadon line are safe within. The Stronghold is impenetrable and ever growing, thriving. The grounds have temples, taverns, a veritable city in and of itself filled with residences for each member or family.

In the far north western corner of the Stronghold of Abbadon there is a small hill, and such as with the rest of the sacred lands, the outgrowth is lush with greenery and life, but it is not the spark of life that so normally sets the Stronghold apart from the rest of the Abyss City. No, instead there is a single tree, a beacon of nature, and mother to the fae of the wind and air, birther of intelligences and of all avian beings. The tree is constantly tossed with gentle winds, and chimes softly sound as bells into the night. To those with the Sidhe Sight, a gentle white glow radiates from deep within.

In the far north eastern corner of the Stronghold of Abbadon there is a valley filled with a city long forgotten and even longer dead. In this place there is only one source of life and light which feeds upon the ancient history and wisdom of that which has come before. The tree is a beacon of nature, and mother to the fae of the earth and ancients, birther of nurturers and of all land based beings. The tree’s roots tangle into the stone of the aged city and stone, growing far above the valley. To those with the Sidhe Sight, a gentle green glow radiates from deep within.

In the far south western corner of the Stronghold of Abbadon there is a wasteland, unlike the rest of the vibrantly living realm, this area seems to be devoid of life, a place of death and of pain. In this wasteland there is but one thing that lives with no scorn, a tree whose sap catches flame. Still, as with the other wards it is a beacon of nature, and mother to the fae of flame and darkness, birther of passion and of all burning beings. The tree is constantly bleeding the flames of its existence into the night. To those with the Sidhe Sight, a gentle red glow radiates from deep within, brighter even than the flames of its name.

In the far south eastern corner of the Stronghold of Abbadon there is a small pond, and such as with the rest of the sacred lands, the body of water is lush with greenery and life, but it is not the spark of life that so normally sets the Stronghold apart from the rest of the Abyss City. No, instead there is a single tree, a beacon of nature, and mother to the fae of the water and deep, birther of insight and of all aquatic beings. The tree is constantly swaying with the flow of the waters, pouring from its soul the many rivers and lakes that dot the Stronghold. To those with the Sidhe Sight, a gentle blue glow radiates from deep within.

The Stronghold came into being shortly after Cerunnos left the halls of Capadocious. He and his own had been having some problems with the ever more chaotic growing family, and at the advice of a wise friend, Cery had gone in search of a home for which to give his childer and grand childer. After some time, he came upon a set of ruins, and felt within him that he had reached the place he was seeking. Thus, he called upon the force of the earth, mother of all, to aid him in giving birth to the Stronghold. All around the vampire, vines sprang up, molding with the ruined stone, melding and giving life. The Creator's magik spread outward, touching everything within the Delandria forest. In a matter of moments, where there had been forest, there grew the first buildings of the Stronghold.

As people entered into the home of the D'Abbadons, the lands grew and expanded to accommodate. The forest was a land of wishes, and it is said that one who is of the former god's lineage has only to speak a wish in their heart and it will be given them. To those who carry Cerunnos' blood, the forest is a home and a haven, a place of rest, peace and love. To those who would do harm, it is a bitter deathtrap. Upon a piece of stone that hangs from the grand ballroom ceilling deep in the center of the Stronghold Main Building are words etched. They glow and light the entire room, reading "Even in the heart of darkness, a single candle flame's light burns brightly."
